(Spotlight)

8. 購買 CardVault Pro

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how CardVault (the "App") handles your data.

The App is built around one core principle: the business cards you scan stay on your own device. The App requires no account and operates no developer server, and card recognition — including on-device Apple Intelligence — runs entirely on your device. Only when you actively turn on "iCloud Sync" is your card data synced to your personal iCloud (Apple account) — kept in your own private cloud space, which the developer cannot access.

At a glance
  • No account required: no sign-up or login; the developer holds no account data tied to you.
  • On-device recognition: text recognition and field detection (including Apple Intelligence) run entirely on your device, with no network connection.
  • Your data, your control: cards live on your device by default; with sync on, they stay in your own iCloud — the developer can't read them.
  • No tracking, no analytics: no third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising services are integrated.

1. User Identity

Using the App does not require registration, an email address, or logging into any account. The App does not generate, collect, or store any account data that could identify you personally.

2. Storage of Business Card Data

Every card you scan or import — including the recognized name, company, title, phone number, email, website, address, LINE ID, tax ID, notes, and the original front and back images — is stored in your device's local database by default. If you enable "iCloud Sync," a copy is also kept in your personal private iCloud database so it can sync across your devices (see Section 9).

  • This data is never uploaded to the developer's or any third party's servers.
  • The developer operates no backend system or database and has no way to access your card data.
  • When you delete the App, its local data is removed with it; if you used iCloud Sync, the copy in your iCloud is managed by you through iOS iCloud settings.

3. Camera and Photo Permissions

To provide card scanning, the App requests the following system permissions when needed:

  • Camera: to photograph and scan physical business cards.
  • Photos: to import existing card photos from your library, and to save original card images or your "My Card" share image to your library.

All images are processed and stored only on your device and are never transmitted externally.

4. Text Recognition and Field Detection

Card text recognition (OCR) uses Apple's built-in Vision framework and runs entirely offline, on-device; your card images are never sent to the cloud or any external service for recognition.

How the recognized text is sorted into fields such as name, company, and title depends on your device:

  • Devices that support Apple Intelligence: if your device supports Apple Intelligence and it is turned on, the App uses Apple's on-device language model (the Foundation Models framework) to help identify names, companies, titles, and addresses. The model runs entirely on your device with no network connection; card content is never sent to Apple, the developer, or any third party.
  • Other devices: if your device doesn't support Apple Intelligence, it's turned off, or its model hasn't finished downloading, the App's built-in rule-based parser handles this instead — also entirely on-device.

The App uses no cloud AI services and never uses your card content to train any model. You can turn off Apple Intelligence in iOS Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri, and card recognition will switch to the rule-based parser; Settings > Card Recognition in the App shows which method is in use.

5. Exporting to Contacts

The App requests Contacts access only when you actively choose "Add to Contacts," and it writes only the single card you selected at that time. The App never reads, collects, or uploads your existing contacts. Whether and what to export is entirely your decision.

6. System Search (Spotlight)

To let you find cards quickly through iPhone's system search, the App indexes card data with the system's Spotlight service. This index exists only on your device, is managed by iOS, and is never transmitted externally; archived cards are removed from the index. You can disable the App's "Siri & Search" permission at any time in system Settings.

7. Sharing and Backup

The App provides share images, QR codes, and data backup (vCard / CSV export and import). These are always triggered by you and handed off through iOS's standard share sheet or file picker to a destination you choose (Messages, AirDrop, Files, and so on). What you share and with whom is entirely up to you.

8. Purchasing CardVault Pro

The App offers "CardVault Pro," a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited cards. Purchasing, payment, and restoring purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store; the developer never receives your payment details, Apple ID, or any personal data. The App only checks your purchase status on your device through Apple's StoreKit to unlock the corresponding feature.

9. Network Connections and Third Parties

The App connects to no developer backend server, integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and does not use cookies. It uses the network only in the following cases, all through Apple services:

  • iCloud Sync (optional, off by default): when enabled, the App uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your card data to the private iCloud database of your personal Apple account. That data resides in your own iCloud space, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and cannot be read or accessed by the developer. You can turn it on or off at any time in the App's settings.
  • In-app purchase: when you buy or restore CardVault Pro, the App Store connects to Apple's servers to process it (see Section 8).

When you tap a phone number, email, address, or LinkedIn link on a card, your device opens the corresponding system app (Phone, Mail, Maps, or a browser). That interaction is between you and that service — the App does not participate in or record it.

10. Diagnostic Data and Feedback

The App does not proactively collect usage data or diagnostic logs. If you enable "Share With App Developers" analytics in iOS Settings, Apple may provide the developer with crash reports containing no personally identifiable information, used solely to fix issues. This is managed at the Apple system level, and you may disable it at any time in Settings.

When you choose "Send Feedback" in the App, it opens your mail app with diagnostic information pre-filled (App version, iOS version, device type, iCloud sync mode and status, last sync time, and error codes) — never any card content. You can review or delete it before sending, and whether to send is up to you; emails are used only to reply to you and fix issues.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for a general audience, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Future Features

Should the App later introduce features that send card content over the network (such as cloud-based AI parsing), they will — like iCloud Sync — always be opt-in and off by default, with a clear explanation of how your data would be handled before you enable them, and this Policy will be updated accordingly.

13. Changes to This Policy

This Policy will be revised as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of our current privacy practices.
